3rd Mondays/Tuesdays CL Practice Group

This practice group is for people who have basic training in Clean Language, but who still feel like relative beginners. The emphasis is on practice, not training. This round of practices, the participants have elected to have the option to prepare a transcript of all or part of a session they have done, for the group to review and discuss. Alternatively, Gina will prepare some nugget of training about a particular aspect of Clean and have the group practice that in some appropriate fashion. Then, Gina will do a demonstration with a volunteer ‘client’, followed by a debrief discussion.

Prerequisite: You need to have a basic understanding of Clean Language and familiarity with the developing questions used to gather information, along with knowledge of Symbolic Modeling’s P/R/O model and resource development. (The equivalent of Gina’s Basics Part I course and first workbook.) You do not need to have training in facilitating change, though you may pick up some learnings about change work that are covered in Basics Part Two.

(If you don’t have training in these skills, contact gina@cleanlanguageresources.com to discuss joining a cohort group for a live online training or check the Upcoming Events page on this site.)

Cost: 5 practices for $75 USD (recordings and transcripts of practices included)

When:  January 15/16- May 20/21, 2024 The 3rd Tuesdays of the month in Australia

THIS GROUP HAS BEEN CREATED IN RESPONSE TO A REQUEST BY SOME CLEAN ENTHUSIASTS IN AUSTRALIA. FOR THEM, THIS COURSE WIL BE CONSISTENTLY BE THEIR 3RD TUESDAY MORNINGS FROM 8-9:30AM. AET (AUSTRALIA EASTERN TIME). If you live in the US, for example, this will be on Mondays for you.

PARTICIPANTS IN OTHER TIME ZONES SHOULD PLAN THEIR START DATES AND TIMES ACCORDINGLY. Countries, and even parts within countries, do not change from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time and back on the same dates! YOU MAY NEED TO CHANGE YOUR START TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF THE 5 MONTHS. (For example, Gina is in the New York time zone. For her, the meetings will be on Mondays, and she will have to adjust her start time in March, when her time changes, and again in April, when times change in parts of Australia. And if that is not confusing enough, not all of Australia changes their times, so AU folk may have to adjust to AET times. Fortunately, we have each other to help us through this muddle!)

 Limited to 10 participants!

Check here for more details and the option to register. (Clarification: you will note the information in the registration page says the course starts before January 15/16th. The listing is the date on which you will be able to register and access the introductory information on Ruzuku, our learning platform. Sorry if this is confusing; it’s just the way the platform is set up. We will meet on the 3rd Tuesday AET.)

4th Fridays CL Practice Group

This practice group is for people who have basic training in Clean Language, but who want to further reinforce and grow their skills.

We will meet once monthly for up to 1 hour & 45 minutes. A week in advance, you will have access to brief 'lesson' materials on this Ruzuku platform (if any are needed), be given a Zoom link for the practice, and a Before our Session sheet for anyone who may want to be a 'client' for our pair practice. Our on-going group has chosen to use our time in this round of practices for two activities. First, Gina will present a helpful nugget on some aspect of Clean to help you solidify and grow your skills, and lead the group through a practice activity or brief transcript review and discussion. Then, two people will conduct the start of a Clean session for 10 minutes, followed by a discussion of what each of us are noticing and thinking about, and muse about where we might take the session from that point. If there is still time, the facilitator and client could choose to continue with the session.

Prerequisites: You need to have a basic understanding of Clean Language and familiarity with the developing questions used to gather information, along with knowledge of Symbolic Modeling’s P/R/O model, resource development, conditions for change, and maturing. Knowledge of Clean Space is helpful, but not required. You must have video access; no phone-ins.

(If you don’t have training in these skills, contact gina@cleanlanguageresources.com to discuss joining a cohort group for a live online training or check this Upcoming Events page.)

Cost: 5 practices for $75 USD (recordings included)

When:  January-May, 2024 on the 4th Fridays of the month

Please note: Countries do not change between standard and daylight savings time on the same dates. Please be aware of when your time changes. The group will follow the US calendar.

Limited to 10 participants!

Check here for more details and the option to register.   Clarification: you will note the information in the registration page says the course starts before January 26. The listing is the date on which you will be able to register and access the first Lesson’s information on Ruzuku, our learning platform. Sorry if this is confusing; it’s just the way Ruzuku sets this up; I cannot change it. We will first meet on the 4th Friday, January 23, 2024.

MACCA (career development professionals) conference workshop

Access the Wisdom Within with Clean Language

Discover how asking Clean Language questions about clients’ own metaphors is the quickest, easiest, AND most effective way to help your clients discover their truest selves. By directing attention to the seeker’s exact words, a Clean facilitator uncovers the seeker’s subconscious metaphors that encode their wants, strategies, and beliefs-- the ones ‘driving the bus’, covertly influencing their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Gina will demonstrate how to draw out this deeper wisdom, starting with a seeker’s stick-figure drawing. You will learn what it means to maintain a Clean Stance, and get a chance to experience being both facilitator and client, as we develop a metaphor for a client’s resourceful way of being when confronted with a situation over which they have little control, like a pandemic or forced job loss. Visit here for more information and to register.

  • American Art Therapy Association conference (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Presenting at the American Art Therapy Association conference: A powerful tool for helping art therapists deepen clients’ engagement with their metaphors.

Introducing Clean Language, a systematic, therapeutic questioning process that gently and respectfully deepens a traumatized client’s self-exploration, removes blocks, releases old patterns, and fosters change at the mind/body level by uncovering and communicating with a client’s internalized metaphors. Online session: Yes, but... Untangling problems and outcomes for greater effectiveness (Class 2 of 2)

As we grow up, we are often taught to solve problems by thinking and learning more about them, so it’s no wonder clients tend to focus their attention on what they don’t want or like. It can be challenging to redirect their attention to their desired outcomes. It can be even more difficult to determine which problems need to be included in the solution process and which should be set aside.

In these two skill-building classes, you will learn Clean Language questions and strategies that address both issues. Learn how to empower your client to recognize their own unproductive patterns and chart new paths for greater success.

Cost: $66 (covers both classes)

Time: 2:00-3:45 pm EST

NBCC (National Board for Certified Counselors) continuing education credits available

Online session: Hold it Right There!

HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!

Discover what there is for clients to learn about themselves by pausing at the threshold of a change. A doorway, a foot bridge, a gate… a metaphoric marker that divides two spaces contains a wealth of information.

There is unique wisdom in this space that is rich with the potential to both thwart and support change. Poised between the past and the future, the moment may hold fear and determination, regret and anticipation, a pulling back and the energy to move forward.

You will learn a script-based activity you can easily do with your clients that will deepen their self-exploration and enable you to identify and address what holds them back and help build motivation for what lies ahead.

An online 1 ¾ hour class for only $33!
